in the details for yourself?
Dear Israelis and dear Israeli government,
With a bit of amazement I am looking at your behavior
lately, as far as I know there was a lot of manna falling
from the heavens but you do not recognize the nutrition
content in it. That is very remarkable, please let me tell
you a few facts:
- On Thursday 19 June I asked the Hamas to 'chill out' a
bit. They did this immediately.
- A week later the same kind of question to the al Aqsa brigades, also an immediate response (within 1 or
within 1 1/2 hour...)
Still I am under the impression you didn't notice, a big
and fundamental change but you did not notice... Don't get
me wrong, it is important of course that Abu Mazen gets the
credit for this because he has to do a lot of talking and
negotiation, but it is strange you did not notice the
fundamental character of the changing.
May be it is wise you should give a call to the White
House and ask them what the exact characteristics of this
new situation is. On the other hand, there has been progress
from your side but it could be faster and it could be more.
Please do this because we are a lot of weeks further since
19 June, time is running out only because you do not
understand the characteristics involved!
And you cannot deny that change is there, even tourism is
starting up again after so many months. How is this possible
my dear Israel? And may I ask you another question that
abundantly demonstrates that you do not understand the so
called 'new characteristics'? Here it is:
With the latest 'crack down' on so
called 'evil terrorists' you expected to find one
Hamas militant member. You found two and all in all
four people were killed. Does this actual behavior
imply that you are willing to kill a few thousand
Palestine civilians in order to 'bring to justice'
the estimated one thousand Hamas militia members?
Yes or no? |
The above question is not so hard to understand, it is
also some extrapolation of your actual and factual behavior.
Why constantly think on such a small scale? I am getting
bored over this, please do not forget that there are more
'checker boards' I have to pay attention to. And you are by
far not the most important so called 'checker board' because
that always will be the truth ramming out of the White House
around the nine eleven atrocities. I do not mean this in
some arrogant way or so, but the nine eleven stuff is the
most important to me. That's a fact. But there are more
facts and a lot of facts I do not know in detail. Can you
fill out the next table a bit? All I read lately that during
the second intifada over 800 Israelis were killed and over
2400 Palestines from direct violence. So please fill in the
next table:
Totals second Intifada |
Israelis |
Palestines |
Totals |
Soldiers / Militia |
|
?? |
Civilians |
?? |
Totals |
800 |
2400 |
3200 |
The table speaks for itself, for every dead Israeli
exactly 3 Palestines die. So what gives you the right for
'crack downs' when Palestines do not have the same right
against the Israeli army (or even Israeli terror groups)? Is
this 'right' emerging from the Palestine militia's being
'evil' or so?
Lets leave it with this, sorry in case I am not
'diplomatic enough' but it is not my job to be some
diplomat. I just tell the truth as I see it, that is all I
do. That is all I do. But again time is running out, right
now there are not so many reasons to enlarge the truce or
hunda. So I will look at the developments and the evolution
in this all.
Greetings from your humble servant & bringing you the
greatest of respect,
Reinko Venema, representative of the War Tribunal.
